50 Flight Challenge
Workout 32
Find yourself a set of stairs (approximately 16 steps). The task today will be to ascend and descend the set of stairs 50 times. Start with bodyweight for your first try. On your 2nd or 3rd try of this workout, add in your bunker gear and an air pack, then a high-rise kit and irons.
*If your hall does not have a set of stairs, you can do step ups onto a box or onto the tailboard of the truck. Sub one flight of stairs with 16 step ups.
Why: Climbing stairs and fighting fires are two different things. Can you fight a fire on the 50th floor when the elevators are out? Think about the demands once you are at the fire floor. You need to be capable of more than just the climb. Track your progress over multiple attempts.
